Gain your IOSH certificate at our 3 day training course.

An IOSH certificate means that you, or one of your employees, could carry out your risk assessments in-house.

Health & Safety is a role managers are often asked to undertake without any training, which means employees could be at risk.

We are offering the opportunity for businesses to gain an IOSH certificate by attending our 3 day Managing Safely course – it’s the perfect entry level Health & Safety training for managers of any level and from any industry sector.

The course will be held at our Glasgow office, and there is also the option to participate online so it doesn’t matter where in the UK your firm is based.

The course content enables participants to:

  • Understand the structure and requirements of health and safety law
  • Assess and control risks and hazards
  • Understand their health and safety responsibilities and the responsibilities of others
  • Effectively carry out accident and incident investigations
  • Evaluate and measure health and safety performance

Attendees can expect:

  • Memorable and thought-provoking learning with an experienced health and safety practitioner
  • Course modules that are backed by clear examples and recognisable scenarios
  • Summaries to reinforce key points
  • Checklists and materials for subsequent use
  • Informal and inter-active quizzes and discussions
  • Evaluation of learning through a multi-format questions paper and risk assessment project

The course is designed and quality controlled by IOSH, it also provides a great CPD opportunity for anyone.

The fee for the course, including all course materials, is £350 per delegate (10% discount available for existing French Duncan clients and members of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and West Lothian Chamber of Commerce).

Our IOSH certified course is run throughout the year, with the option to either attend in person at our Glasgow office, or to take part remotely online.

Dates for the next course in 2023 will be released shortly. If you would like to be added to our waiting list, please get in touch to let us know.

Gaining your IOSH Certificate

A pass certificate is awarded on completion of the course if delegates achieve a PASS on the assessment exam on the last day of the course and successfully complete a risk assessment project within two weeks of the course.

The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is the Chartered body and largest membership organisation for safety and health professionals. Their training products and other IOSH approved courses provide valuable knowledge, skills and qualifications for members and their colleagues.
